Contrary to the unofficial results of the 2020 ICPC Midwest Regional, our team S&T Gold has been invited to compete at the North American Division Championship later this April!
This is a historic achievement for ACM Comp, being the first time that a team from S&T has advanced in decades. Thank you to all of our dedicated members who continued to work hard despite the challenges presented by the pandemic. On behalf of all of ACM Comp, I would also like to recognize alumnus Thomas McKanna for his contribution. Though he was unable to compete in the 2020 ICPC competition due to it being postponed, this achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication to the team that Thomas demonstrated as our chair in the Fall of 2020. Thank you, Thomas.
S&T Gold consists of members: Jonathan Ogden, Liam Helfrich, and Jack Manhardt
also competing was S&T Silver consisting of: Travis Seel and Nick Goodson
S&T Silver was ineligible to advance as they did not have a full team, but they achieved a placement on the same level as S&T Gold despite that. Thus it is exciting to see that every competing member of ACM Comp performed to a standard warranting a spot in the Division Championship! I am very proud of the improvement that the team has shown in recent semesters, and foresee us continuing this standard of excellence going forth.
S&T will share the honor of competing with several prestigious universities in our division, such as: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, WashU, Vanderbuilt University, and Iowa State University. For a full list of attending teams, follow this link
